Demo Data - Family Centric Cities create more jobs

Do you have radio stations in Houston, Dallas, Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham or other family friendly cities? If so, your cities should be healthy with job growth.

Even though the latest hot demographic in Urban planning is to create “cool cities” that appeal to the “creative class” and the “young and the restless,” a recent Wall Street Journal essay suggests a more family-friendly approach is the key to economic and demographic growth. Cities which have embraced the hipsters such as Cincinnati, Baltimore, Cleveland, Newark, Detroit and Memphis, have not seen the Job Growth of cities which attract young, educated families in the 20 – 40 year old range.
